i liked the concept of the “arranging” exhibit. it shows why certain thing are arranged in a certain way and why some things have to be arranged in a certain way. it questions your brain on why stuff are placed like this or that.
i found the one on CASA rather interesting. it states that why can’t furnitures be arranged in other ways such as beds on top of wardrobes, and why the bedside table should be beside the bed, why it’s called “bedside” and not “wallside” table.
they suggested whether it could be because we learned arranging furnitures from adults, or from IKEA’s catalogue, or maybe in fact someone’s stupid idea that ended up being the norm.
this indeed questions us why. most people would say it saves space and it’s the most ideal and comfortable way that this is placed. but what if we have endless space? what if we’re not talking about being comfortable and effective? what if this was that someone stupid idea to being with? would everyone else conform?
i guess the key is conformity.

First Experience
This is my band performing a few days back.
Performing is a really good experience for me because it is very thrilling and when we play our music, we enjoy the moment so our stage presence is filled with energy and enthusiasm. It is also the response that we get from the audience that makes us even more energetic. When on stage, we’re all out to have fun and make those watching us have fun too. It is also interactive as while we’re performing, we get response from the crowd like the clapping, singing along, dancing, headbanging, etc and in turn, we feel more pumped and the hype is even greater. (but if you’ve got a really dead crowd then it’s a different story)
Keywords: thrilling, exciting, crazy, extreme, devoted, exuberant
Second Experience
Attending concerts/gigs.
This was last year’s Saosin/Incubus concert. Attending concerts are geat experiences for me. We go to concerts because we like that group or band so we want to watch them perform. So obviously it is something to look forward to and it just is a blast there, sometimes if you’re lucky you get to meet new people, including the band members and that is way awesome. Other times, we’re just there to have fun and enjoy the music and vibe and everything else. It’s a worry-free environment and it’s not an everyday thing. The girl in that picture above is Taya Rogers, very powerpack MTV VJ. That’s what I mean by meeting people. There are lots of interaction going on, obviously one wouldn’t go there and keep silent throughout. We talk, joke, clap, sing along, dance. We interact with the people performing, with the people around us, and with our friends.
Keywords : exhilarating, enjoyable, memorable, worry-free.

How do you find the site? (in 3 words)
Simple, plain and dull.
Who do you think the site is created for?
I think that it is created for middle-aged women.
What are the good attributes of the site? (in terms of usability, aesthetic issues, etc)
The good points are that it is simple and not complicated, it is straightfoward and is rather user friendly.
What are the bad attributes of the site?
The bad points are that it is too boring and not very interactive. The colours used are all very dull so one might get too bored and may not want to return to that site.
